What You Discover When Walking - Venice

I don't even know where I was walking to, but it was a slow walk and I was checking out building architecture and shops, etc. I stumbled onto the Il Museo della Musica - Artemio Vesari Collection. Wow! What a find! It was a small collection, mostly string instruments, but also some others. A lot of the instrument collections were in acrylic cases so the pictures aren't the best. But it was interesting, and unexpected!

After that little side adventure, I discovered I could go to the top of the St. Mark's Bell Tower via elevator!! That's always a bonus! Fabulous views of Venice from way up high.

Galileo Galilei famously demonstrated his telescope to the Doge of Venice Antonio Priuli on August 21, 1609 from this bell tower. That's what the plaque is representing.

It was pretty spectacular!
