Brandon took the day off to take me to the Alps. We checked out the weather and morning at Mont Blanc showed sunny and clear. That's the best weather in order to see the incredible Alps. We drove for a little over an hour and it was so worth it!

A river runs through it - Chamonix, in Haute-Savoie France, home of the first Winter Olympics. |
Mont Blanc - the White Mountain - from street level. |
It's hard to see but there is a building right on the very top of that mountain. That's where we were headed! |

Crazy ski adventurers. One must have a guide to ski up here. |
Mont Blanc from, well, Mont Blanc level. 12,602 feet high it is the highest mountain in the Alps, and the highest peak in Europe. |

Okay, I'll admit, I had a bit of altitude queasiness - felt very light-headed and nauseated. Lots of pressure in my head. This view almost made me throw up. |
Yes, I walked through here and even stopped to take a look. |
What goes up must come down and down we went. I honestly could not stay on the top very long. |

What a fabulous adventure! So happy that I got to share it with my son. |
